Congratulations to Sue Way who has been named NZ Umpire of the Year at the annual Bowls NZ Awards held on Friday 13th September. Sue has been a devoted umpire for a number of years, and being acknowledged as the top umpire at this years awards is a great reward for her efforts. In addition to her umpiring, Sue is a dedicated member of the Naenae Bowling Club and serves on the board of Bowls Wellington.
Congratulations also to Peter Horne who received his Parajack Cap as a member of the 2002 Commonwealth Games team and all our finalists from Wellington - Miramar (Club of the Year), Michael Johnson (Umpire of the Year), Mark Noble (Para Sport Award) and Gary Lawson (Player of the Year) .
